Knit Along 101: Your Guide to KALs at Knit Tuck & Purl

Discover the joy and simplicity of our Knit Along (KAL) sessions at Knit Tuck & Purl. Our KALs focus on knitting, learning, and fostering connections within our community. The beauty of our KALs lies in their simplicity and inclusivity, offering free participation with patterns that cater to both new and experienced knitters. We provide a variety of designs and optional weekly meet-ups, both in-store and via Zoom, to accommodate our remote knitting community.

How to Learn About Upcoming KALs

Stay updated by signing up for our newsletter, the primary source for all KAL news. Additionally, follow our social media channels—Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube—for announcements.

Registration Process

Visit our Events page to find and fill out the KAL sign-up form.

After Signing Up

 You’ll receive a welcome email containing a discount code for yarn. Here is the link to purchase the pattern and select suitable yarns, We will be emailing more details on joining our meet-ups, and other preparatory activities.

Late Sign-ups

There’s no deadline for registration—you can join any time before a KAL ends. Late registrants will receive all past communications promptly.

Cost

There is no fee to join our KALs; participants only pay for materials and patterns.

KAL Structure

Our KALs are not formal classes, but they are informative. Emails will include knitting tips and insights shared by fellow participants.

Meet-ups

Participation in meet-ups is optional. In-person sessions are held on Saturdays at our shop located at 1719 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA, with prior RSVP required. Online Zoom meet-ups occur on Wednesdays from 5-6 pm EST.

Zoom Session Recordings

All Zoom meet-ups are recorded and available on our YouTube channel, allowing you to catch up anytime.

Pacing

Don’t worry about falling behind; our KALs accommodate all types of knitters. Whether you’re juggling multiple projects or knitting your first sweater, there’s a place for you.

Skill Levels

If you’re unsure about participating due to your knitting level, we’re here to help assess and support your involvement in a KAL.
