I’m excited to start my Elton Pullover designed by Joji Locatelli. It’s a light cardigan knit with two very different yarns: a fingering weight, which shows as solid bands, and a lace weight mohair creating a delicate game of texture. The resulting sweater will be as light as air.
This pullover is worked from the top down in one piece. The construction starts at the shoulders, with some short rows, while using only the main yarn. After the short rows, you begin using both yarns. The back and the front are worked separately down to the armholes and then everything is joined to complete the body in the round. The sleeves are later picked up around the armholes and also worked in the round.
