Learn to Knit a Cardigan with Alexis D'Arcy

Are you ready to knit a cardigan? YOU ARE! Come and try the Balete Cardigan pattern with the help of new friends, and your teacher, Alexis D’Arcy of Seasons East Hand Knitting. Choose either a full size sweater for yourself or a pint size sweater for a young person in your life. 

Class Agenda

Class One: Please come with a 6 by 6 inch stockinette swatch of the yarn you will be using. Selecting a size and casting on;
Class Two: Continuing through the yoke;
Class Three: Dividing for Sleeves;
Class Four: Checking gauge on the body of the sweater; Starting the hood;
Class Five: Sleeve Island Class Party.

Skills Needed

Knitters should know how to cast on, knit, purl, and binding off, magic loop, cable experience. 

Skills Learned

Learn all aspect of how to knit sweater (constructed bottom up) with plenty of hand on practice and guidance.

Preparation

Be sure to come to the shop early enough to collect your supplies purchased and your yarn wound into balls before the start of class (suggested 15-30 minutes).
