In knitting, a steek is a bridge of extra stitches worked into a project that is knit in the round, allowing you to later cut an opening for a cardigan front, an armhole, or a neckline. The process is most commonly associated with Fair Isle or other stranded colorwork, as it allows for uninterrupted knitting of the colorwork pattern.
Prerequisites: Students should be comfortable knitting in the round and following basic colorwork (Fair Isle) patterns.
